Consistency, made easier.

Willpower is a bad plan. kcalc.ai gives you a band to land in, a log that takes one photo, and a week that forgives an ordinary Tuesday.

Inside, room left or past

Appetite is chemistry, not character

Hunger does not care how motivated you were on Monday. So the app is built for the day you do not feel like it.

Room left today is just room. One day over does not move the trend.

One photo

It does the remembering

Photograph the plate and put the phone down. The estimate arrives as a notification when it is ready.

If the portion turns on something the photo cannot settle, the app may ask one question. Leave it unanswered and the app finishes with its own estimate.

Five ways in

More than one way in

Type a flat white and a banana, and it resolves. Scan a barcode. Paste a recipe you already cook. Orbit the plate with LiDAR on the iPhones that have one.

With no signal, a photographed meal saves now and is estimated when the signal returns.

Composer
A sentence is enough to start.

Weekly steps

A band, not a point

The plan is a set of weekly checkpoints and the target glides between them. It learns your real maintenance from what you log and what you weigh, then steps the band each week.

There is a floor under the target. Under-eating is a miss, never a win.

One time line

Weight, without the ceremony

Weigh in when you like. Intake and body weight are drawn on one time line, and the app reads the trend rather than the wobble.

Connect Apple Health and the weigh-ins already recorded there flow in, however they got there.

Path
Energy and weight, drawn on the same dates.

Someone in your corner

Three shapes, and only one of them ranks anyone.

Partners and parties
  • Partner

One person, usually the one you live with. You each choose what the other sees.

  • Party

Up to 10 people, one week at a time. It scores the band you are in, so a bigger deficit never wins.

  • Atlas

A reason to cook something you have not cooked before.

Two of four

Forest and light

Two of the app's four themes are built for losing. You choose during setup and can change your mind in Profile.

  • Forest Harmony

    Light and settled.

  • Light Days

    Light and buoyant.

Three questions

Before you decide

  • Does kcalc.ai work offline?

The app is offline-first once you are signed in. A meal you photograph or describe with no connection is saved and estimated when the signal returns. Looking a product up, by name or by barcode, is the part that has to wait for the network.

  • Can it read my scale?

Only through Apple Health. Connect it and the weigh-ins already recorded there flow into kcalc.ai. There is no direct connection to a scale.

  • Does under-eating score better?

No. The band that scores a day has a floor under it, so eating well under the target is a miss rather than a better day.
